‘drawntogether’ was an exhibition of drawings and prints. It was held in Shoreditch, to promote the work of artists connected with The Prince’s Drawing School’s Public Programme. The combined display of prints and drawings offered a deeper understanding of the way artists see.
Who we are
Fabienne, Fianne, Peter, Shareena and Virginia are artists studying at The Prince’s Drawing School ‘drawn together’ through the practise of etching and drawing. We recognised the need to create an opportunity for artists to exhibit their work in the context of drawing and printmaking. ‘drawntogether’ celebrated the relationship between both mediums. It was open to work from all artists attending Public Programme classes at The Prince’s Drawing School in the past year.
What we are doing
‘drawntogether’ was an exhibition organised by artists, and students of The Prince’s Drawing School’s Public Programme. It was run for exhibitors to promote and sell their work to a wider audience. It was fully inclusive; every work of art was either framed and hung on the gallery walls, or available to view in browsers. The gallery display provided everyone with the opportunity to find and purchase their favourite piece of artwork.
Where and when
The exhibition took place at 28 Redchurch Street, Shoreditch, London E2 7DP from Friday, 21 November to Saturday, 29 November 2008.
